Hiyas is in good condition based on her latest check-up in February. The bird was given shots of Vitamin B complex and paraciticide. Hiyas, along with the other Philippine Eagles at the Center, underwent oral prophylaxis for two weeks to prevent fungal infection. She is still waiting for future pairing attempt should there be available space and available male. Though without a pair and is not imprinted to any of our keepers, Hiyas was stimulated enough during the breeding season and has laid an infertile egg – a sign that she is up and ready for any pairings soon.
